PARK BUBANJ BY LENS OF DRAGAN VIDOJKOVIC

In gallery of European corner in Nis, was opened independent exhibition of Dragan Vidojkovic, multimedia artist, author of media EKOpolis network in Nis. This exhibition, consisting 36 photographs author named: ”Our PLACE – our PLANET, our RESPONSIBILITY – Memorial Park BUBANJ” and it was realized on occasion of celebration of Worlds Day of Environment Protection under patronage of City Municipality of Palilula and City of Nis. Opening of exhibition arranged as a kind of performance, which based on the ideas of Dragan Vidojkovic, in setting up the exhibition included and visitors of gallery of European corner. This interactive relation of audience and author in creation of setting of exhibition about one of the biggest  green oasis of city of Nis – Memorial Park Bubanj, symbolically demonstrated place and role of civic initiatives and every individual in protection of environment.

About exhibition setting, on the opening of the exhibition spoke Prof. Slavoljub Todorovic – Zorkin, President of Multimedia Association of Artists Emperor Constantine and Milan Djurdjevic, President of Assembly of City Municipality of Palilula.

“Memorial Park Bubanj is inspiration of artist for several decades. Photo story of Dragan Vidojkovic is significant document about this space, which by great efforts of management of City Municipality of Palilula, from year to year, gets new look – said Milan Djurdjevic. “With new projects and with financial support of EU, park Bubanj, gets new contents, and photographs of Vidojkovica record our actions and our relation to nature.”

About creativity of Dragan Vidojkovic, as multimedia artist, journalist, who is more then 30 years actively and creatively present in cultural and media space of Nis, spoke and professor of painting Slavoljub Todorovic – Zorkin. He reminded that author of exhibition about Bubanj is creator sub cultural and counter cultural events eighties and nineties in Nis. Vidojkovic was founder of the project and first editor in chief of Students Cultural Center – in establishing, editor of film and video program of Youth Center – Cultural Center, one of starters of first local – independent TV in Nis and Region and implementer of experimental TV programs. He published professional works, film critics. Prepared and edited more publications, magazines. Since 2004th Vidojkovic is Art Director of International Review of Ecological and Archeological Film “EKOPOLIS  fest”, member of International Association of Journalists IFJ, Multimedia Association of Artists “Emperor Constantine” Association of Media Photographs of Serbia, Serbian Society for Public Relations.

Since 2002nd Dragan Vidojkovic funded and editing independent ecological TV production EKOPOLIS, which gather film and TV creators. He is author of documentary films, video and TV production  within until now is created 420 TV shows (Banker system) and more short documentary forms. He is Associate Professor in the Department of ART Academy of International Institute for the Study “Ekoman”.
